Role Overview

Silver Fern Farms Hokitika is the company’s sole processing site on the West Coast of the South Island. The site employs more than 120 team members at the busiest time of year and is located on the coastline, about five minutes from Hokitika town centre, around 30 minutes south of Greymouth, and easily reached from State Highway 6. It is well suited to people who enjoy an outdoor lifestyle, a relaxed community environment, and shorter travel times.

This cleaner role is a strong fit for someone energetic who wants to become part of the team.

Working Arrangements

• Complete training on the job and receive a starting rate of at least NZ$28.82 per hour, along with additional extras.
• The role is usually 30 hours per week, with overtime available.
• Shift times are in the evening and may run from 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm or 11:00 pm to 5:00 am, depending on the season.
• All required clothing and safety equipment is supplied.

Key Duties

• Carry out cleaning work safely and to the required standard within the processing site.
• Use chemical cleaning products correctly and in line with safety procedures.
• Work cooperatively with others as part of an active team environment.
• Follow health and safety, quality, and technical compliance instructions.

Requirements

• No prior experience is needed, as full training is provided.
• Bring a positive, dependable, and hard-working attitude.
• Be comfortable working closely with other team members.
• Be able to understand and follow health, safety, quality, and compliance requirements.
• Be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.
• Be 18 years of age or older to meet audit requirements.
• Be able to pass pre-employment medical checks, a criminal convictions check, and physical fitness screening.
