Role Overview

The company is hiring a full-time, permanent Cleaner / General Operative for its Ringaskiddy Port site in Cork. This position is focused on maintaining a safe, tidy, and efficient workplace while supporting day-to-day site operations.

What the Role Involves

You will be responsible for keeping the site clean and hygienic, including equipment, intake hoppers, and site stores. The role also includes handling spillages, ensuring waste is disposed of correctly, and supporting wider operational tasks across the facility.

In addition, the role requires use of a forklift truck when needed, recording weekly product temperature checks, updating hygiene records through Microsoft Forms, loading customers when required, and escalating any breakdowns, damage, incidents, or other unusual issues.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will bring prior experience in a cleaning or general operative position within a similar industrial setting, ideally with at least 12 months in a comparable role. You should be detail-focused, organised, able to manage your time well, and comfortable working on your own or as part of a team. Strong communication skills, the ability to follow instructions, and flexibility across day, night, weekend, and other shift patterns are also important.

Please note that the work involves both working at height and operating in confined spaces.
