About the role
Forward Insurance Managers Ltd. is building a modern claims operation that blends expert decision-making with automation to make loss handling faster and more effective. This position is based in Canada and is suited to someone who can work through claims with accuracy, judgment, and a strong focus on outcomes.
What you will do
- Assess claims from multiple angles, including coordinating independent adjusters and guiding the investigation process.
- Review adjuster findings, reports, and supporting documents to determine coverage and quantify losses correctly.
- Set, review, and revise claim reserves in line with business strategy and file developments.
- Keep claim files organized and complete, and prepare carrier updates and reporting.
- Carry out bill examination and control expenses carefully.
- Work with legal counsel on litigated matters, including attending mediation when needed and travelling for complex files.
- Finalize and settle claims within assigned authority while applying company procedures consistently.
- Support team performance and represent the company’s culture, values, and service commitments in day-to-day interactions.

Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of insurance claims experience, with exposure to handling files from first notice through to closure.
- CIP designation, or active progress toward completing it; post-secondary education is considered an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot issues others may overlook.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain coverage decisions in simple terms.
- Comfortable using MS Office and claims management software.
- Able to juggle priorities, stay organized under pressure, and work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
Compensation
The role offers a salary range of CAD 85,000 to CAD 95,000. Actual compensation may fall outside that range depending on a candidate’s knowledge, skills, and overall fit for the position.
