Role Overview

The organisation is looking for a Civil Designer to work on civil design and documentation. This is a design-only role, so there will be no site inspections or construction supervision involved. The selected candidate will collaborate with engineers to prepare compliant, approval-ready documentation for roads and subdivisions.

Key Responsibilities

The role includes civil drafting and design for roads, intersections, residential, industrial, and rural subdivisions, along with earthworks and drainage systems. The designer will prepare concept, preliminary, and detailed drawings, and develop construction-ready documentation. Work must align with Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA) standards, local government requirements across WA, Austroads guidance, and relevant Australian Standards. The position also involves coordinating design inputs with engineers and other consultants, responding to authority review comments, supporting approvals when needed, and handling design queries and RFIs during construction from a desktop support standpoint only.

Required Experience and Skills

Applicants should have a Diploma or Associate Degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Design, or equivalent professional experience in the industry. Experience in civil design for roads and subdivisions is required, along with strong working knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3D, which is essential for this role. The candidate should understand road geometry, earthworks, stormwater drainage design, and WA authority design standards. The role also calls for someone who can work independently in a consultancy setting and maintain a high level of accuracy and documentation quality.

Preferred Experience

Additional advantage will be given to candidates who have previously worked in a Western Australian civil engineering consultancy. Exposure to WAPC subdivision processes, MRWA approval workflows and design submissions, AutoCAD alongside Civil 3D, and pavement or traffic design inputs will also be considered beneficial.

Additional Information

This position is based in Hyderabad, India. The stated compensation range is INR 9,00,000 to 12,00,000 per year.
