Job description
Company overview
Quaspar is an AI-driven healthcare technology platform that reduces the administrative burden on providers. Its tools are built to streamline prior authorization work, cut down paperwork, and help practices spend more time on patient care. The product is aimed at speeding up access to needed treatments by making authorization processes more efficient. People on the team help build technology that has a direct impact on healthcare operations and patient experience.
Role summary
This full-time, on-site CTO position is based in Chicago, Illinois. The role is responsible for setting Quaspar’s technology direction and leading the product and engineering functions so they support the company’s business objectives in healthcare automation.
What you will do
You will guide software development teams, shape architecture and infrastructure choices, and make sure the platform remains scalable, dependable, and secure. You will work closely with product, operations, and clinical partners to decide priorities, manage the technical roadmap, and keep regulatory and compliance needs in view. The position also includes coaching technical leaders, overseeing vendor partnerships, and assessing new technologies that can improve the platform.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate can direct software and product development, set technical strategy, and lead cross-functional engineering teams. A strong background in IT strategy and architecture is needed, along with experience designing systems that are scalable, secure, and reliable, ideally in SaaS or healthcare technology. Project planning and delivery skills are important, including the ability to manage complex initiatives against timelines and budgets.
Experience building and connecting AI-based or data-heavy platforms is highly valuable, especially with cloud tools and modern development methods. The role also calls for strong leadership, team development, and an inclusive, collaborative approach to engineering. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities are essential, including the skill to explain technical topics to executive and non-technical audiences. Background in healthcare, health IT, or other regulated environments is a plus, particularly knowledge of security, privacy, and compliance requirements.
Education
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related area is preferred, though equivalent hands-on experience is also acceptable.
