Role Description

SOZI AI is actively seeking a highly motivated, mission-aligned, and technically proficient Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to join our founding leadership team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and scaling of a company from its nascent stages and significantly influence the future of digital health. As the CTO, you will be the primary technical leader, collaborating closely with the Founder & CEO to define the company's long-term vision, product strategy, engineering culture, and technical roadmap. The existing engineering team possesses robust backend capabilities, and we are looking for a leader to provide comprehensive technical direction across full-stack systems, infrastructure, mobile deployment, artificial intelligence, scalability, and future engineering team development.

The ideal candidate will possess both strategic foresight and hands-on technical ability, comfortable making high-level executive decisions while also being prepared to address complex technical challenges directly when necessary. You will be instrumental in guiding SOZI AI through critical growth phases, including scaling from initial traction to widespread adoption, optimizing our App Store presence, enhancing cloud infrastructure and reliability, expanding AI-driven platform features, building and mentoring future engineering talent, supporting fundraising activities and technical due diligence, and developing technology that yields tangible public health benefits.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience in developing and launching software products.
• Comprehensive understanding of full-stack development.
• Proficiency with cloud infrastructure, including AWS.
• In-depth knowledge of scalable software architecture principles.
• Exceptional leadership and communication abilities.
• Capacity to thrive amidst ambiguity and rapid change in a startup setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in startup or venture-backed company environments.
• Experience in leading and managing engineering teams.
• Familiarity with mobile application deployment, particularly for iOS and the App Store.
• Experience integrating AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Background in healthtech, digital health, or the broader healthcare industry.
• Experience supporting fundraising rounds or investor due diligence processes.

Compensation and Ownership

• A substantial founder-level equity opportunity, ranging from 3% to 5%.
• Future salary compensation contingent upon achieving funding and/or revenue milestones.
