Job description

Role Overview

This position is for a chemical engineering professional who can assist in training AI systems. The work involves testing chatbot responses, checking how well they reason through chemistry-related problems, and helping improve model quality.

Subject Matter Expertise

Applicants should have advanced knowledge of chemistry. Suitable backgrounds include Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, with expertise expected at an expert level.

What You Can Expect

  • Select the projects you want to take on and decide when you work.
  • Work independently on your own computer from your home.
  • Earn hourly pay beginning at USD 40+, with some projects offering additional bonus rates.

Responsibilities

  • Create challenging chemistry prompts for AI chatbots and review their responses.
  • Assess AI-generated output for accuracy, reasoning quality, and overall performance.

Qualifications

  • Strong command of English at native or bilingual level.
  • Careful, detail-focused approach to reviewing work.
  • Good grasp of general, organic, and physical chemistry.
  • Master’s or PhD qualification, whether ongoing or completed, is preferred but not mandatory.

Payment and Contract Details

Payment is issued through PayPal, and any currency conversion from USD is handled by PayPal. This is an independent contractor opportunity. There is no fee or payment requirement from applicants at any stage.

Location Eligibility

Only candidates based in New Zealand will be considered for this role.
