Role Overview

This position is based in Culver City, California. The role follows an onsite model, with five days per week expected in the office. POP MART believes in in-person collaboration, strong connection, and a high-trust culture where employees are empowered to make decisions that support the business and the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use established relationships with major celebrity agencies, publicists, and stylists to help position POP MART as an early and preferred partner within the U.S. entertainment landscape.
  • Build and maintain close relationships with a core group of 10 to 20 celebrity collectors, including singers, film actors, athletes, and high-profile influencers, with the goal of deepening their connection to the brand’s IPs.
  • Leverage experience in fashion or beauty to plan authentic celebrity unboxings, vlog placements, and everyday lifestyle content that supports product launches.
  • Collaborate around major cultural moments such as awards season, fashion weeks, and premiere events to secure gifting opportunities and VIP placements that create natural brand visibility.
  • Work with PR and Marketing teams on live activations including IP exhibition openings, flagship store events, and tours, ensuring celebrity attendance feels genuine and aligned with the brand.
  • Track celebrity mentions of POP MART on social platforms and quickly convert relevant moments into press releases or follow-up creative content with the internal PR team.
  • Coordinate with e-commerce and retail teams to create a smooth path from discovery to purchase for products supported by celebrity exposure.

Requirements

  • 8 to 10+ years of experience in artist relations, celebrity PR, or entertainment marketing, including at least 5 years within fashion or beauty brands or at a leading agency serving those clients.
  • A proven network with direct, trusted relationships across celebrity agents, publicists, stylists, or key team members, along with examples that show the level of talent handled.
  • Strong understanding of the Los Angeles and Beverly Hills entertainment scene, including street style opportunities, red-carpet seeding, and celebrity gifting strategy.
  • Excellent communication, sound business judgment, and strong emotional intelligence, with the ability to balance brand objectives and celebrity comfort.
  • Must be able to operate as a hands-on self-starter who is focused on outcomes and execution.
  • Highly attuned to social media trends and able to spot emerging viral opportunities on platforms such as TikTok and Instagram.

Preferred Background

  • Interest in blind boxes, designer toys, anime figures, or a strong understanding of Gen Z subcultures.
  • Experience managing private fan communities or fan-led social accounts for celebrities.

Physical Requirements

  • The role requires extended periods of sitting and computer or office-equipment use.
  • Occasional lifting or moving of items up to 25 pounds may be required.

Benefits and Other Information

  • Market-competitive compensation and benefits, including 401(k), health insurance, PTO, paid sick leave, and family leave.
  • On-the-job training to help employees build current skills and knowledge.
  • The company may include this role in an incentive program.
  • Applicants in Los Angeles or San Francisco should note that background checks are completed after a conditional offer, and review is handled in line with applicable fair-chance laws.
  • POP MART is committed to equal employment opportunity and maintains a workplace free from discrimination based on protected characteristics under local, state, or federal law.
  • Candidates who need a reasonable accommodation during the application process can request support by emailing the provided HR support contact.
