About the role
Amazon is seeking a driven, curious, and highly accountable Category Manager to support the HPC category in India. The role is focused on growing the category, improving customer-focused initiatives, and helping make Amazon a stronger destination for baby customers. You will be part of a fast-moving environment that values experimentation, speed, and continuous improvement.
The organization is looking for someone who can think ambitiously, handle uncertainty well, and make independent decisions backed by data. This position involves working closely with both internal and external senior stakeholders, while also contributing to wider team goals and executing with strong ownership.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the scale-up of the category and drive important customer-centric initiatives.
- Use a data-first approach to make and execute independent business decisions.
- Work effectively with senior stakeholders across internal teams and external partners.
- Manage ambiguity and operate well in a space that is still evolving.
- Show strong ownership, persistence, and follow-through in delivering results.
- Lead projects and help the team achieve organizational objectives.
- Apply analytical thinking to solve problems and remove constraints.
- Use clear writing and communication skills to present ideas and recommendations.
Required qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience using Excel.
- At least 5 years of experience in retail, operations, product or program management, business management, or consulting, with exposure to negotiations and results delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree, or at least 3 years of relevant professional or military experience.
- Background in financial analysis and ownership of P&L outcomes.
Preferred experience
- Experience working with large datasets to improve performance and business processes.
- Exposure to vendor negotiations, pricing and promotions, inventory planning, and product development.
