Position Overview

Hala Arjaan by Rotana in Abu Dhabi is hiring a Carpenter to support maintenance operations and help deliver a high standard of guest service. The role involves practical carpentry work, quick fault resolution, and contributing to the upkeep of hotel structures and fixtures.

Key Duties

• Perform repair and maintenance tasks as needed across the property.
• Handle everyday carpentry-related issues within the hotel building.
• Build and fix shelving units and cabinets.
• Install and repair door locks, security fittings, windows, and glazing components.
• Carry out woodworking tasks for partitions and minor general building work.
• Remove damaged or worn-out structural parts and restore or replace them using hand tools.
• Refinish woodwork and wallboard surfaces in rooms and buildings using paint, hand tools, and paneling.
• Repair cracks and other defects in plaster or plasterboard, then smooth and sand the repaired areas.
• Ensure all work complies with local technical rules and safety requirements.

Education, Experience, and Skills

The ideal candidate should be a trained carpenter with a high school qualification and solid knowledge of carpentry, building upkeep, workplace safety, and safe lifting and handling practices. Strong English communication skills and the ability to identify and correct faults are important.
