An opportunity is available for a dependable, proactive Caretaker / General Operative to work at Claremont, a premium residential development in Dublin. The role suits someone who takes pride in high-quality upkeep, works well in a community setting, and enjoys hands-on operational responsibility.
Role Summary
This position is central to the daily appearance, upkeep, and smooth running of the development. The person in post will help keep shared spaces in excellent condition, handle site-related issues as they arise, and interact with residents in a professional, service-oriented manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Keep all shared and communal spaces clean, tidy, and presentable.
- Complete regular site checks and flag any faults or concerns discovered.
- Handle small repair and maintenance tasks where suitable.
- Monitor compliance with health and safety expectations across the property.
- Oversee rubbish handling and recycling areas.
- Work courteously with residents, contractors, and management representatives.
- Escalate repair needs, damage, and safety concerns without delay.
- Help maintain a secure, safe, and welcoming environment at all times.
- Support on-site operations and assist visiting contractors when needed.
- Take responsibility for the overall look and condition of the development.
Requirements
- Experience in caretaking, maintenance, facilities, or a similar field is preferred.
- Practical ability to complete minor maintenance work.
- Strong eye for detail and presentation.
- Reliable, professional, and self-driven work style.
- Good communication and customer-facing skills.
- Comfortable working alone and using initiative.
- Sound understanding of health and safety practices.
- Legal permission to work in Ireland.
Working Hours
The role is for 40 hours per week.
Salary & Benefits
Compensation is €35,000 per year.
