Job description
Role overview
This role is based in Singapore and supports shipboard network sustainment and modernization work. The technician will contribute to the maintenance of Automated Digital Network System (ADNS), Consolidated Afloat Network and Enterprise Services (CANES), Combined Enterprise Regional Information Exchange System (CENTRIXS), Integration Shipboard Networking System (ISNS), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) networks, and related systems.
The position involves close coordination with government and civilian management teams to organize tasking, ship visits, and operational priorities for SPAWAR-fielded tactical networks in a fast-moving, high-energy setting.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out a broad mix of technical duties, including installations, sustainment, upgrades, remote support, configuration control enforcement, and urgent CASREP assistance to keep servers, network devices, workstations, storage, and peripherals operational.
- Investigate technical faults, identify the underlying cause, and recommend lasting configuration improvements for shipboard networks in support of the mission.
- Work with the dispatcher team, ship crews, outside contractors, and vendors to resolve cross-system issues and help shape system integration design.
- Advise MSC customers on the correct methods for maintaining shipboard networks and the associated hardware.
- Handle administrative work such as technical meeting participation, progress/status updates, and preparation of data for reports and information requests.
Requirements
- Active Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.
- CompTIA Security+ certification.
- High school diploma.
- Ability and willingness to travel.
- Willingness to relocate to Singapore.
- Possession of IAT Level 2 certification or higher.
- Employer uses E-Verify to verify identity and work authorization for all new hires.
