Role overview
This position is for an experienced Camp Manager to take charge of a workforce accommodation camp for an EPC company operating in Abu Dhabi. The role focuses on keeping camp activities running efficiently while maintaining strong standards in hygiene, safety, employee welfare, and service delivery across accommodation, catering, and related support functions.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the complete day-to-day functioning of the workforce accommodation camp.
- Direct housekeeping, catering, laundry, and upkeep teams to ensure consistent service quality.
- Maintain adherence to HSE requirements and internal company procedures.
- Coordinate room assignments, occupancy levels, and camp documentation.
- Address employee welfare concerns, complaints, and disciplinary matters within the camp environment.
- Track the quality of meals and ensure sanitation and hygiene remain at required standards.
- Arrange preventive and corrective maintenance for camp infrastructure and facilities.
- Work with vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to support smooth camp operations.
- Compile and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational updates.
- Monitor stock, consumables, and camp assets to ensure availability and control.
- Support emergency readiness and ensure alignment with UAE regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Facility Management, or a similar discipline is required.
- Minimum 5 to 10 years of relevant experience as a Camp Boss or Camp Supervisor in Oil & Gas, EPC, Construction, or Industrial project settings.
- Strong understanding of camp administration and workforce accommodation management.
- Experience handling multicultural teams and diverse worker populations.
- Effective leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities are essential.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Previous UAE or GCC experience is preferred.
Preferred background
- Exposure to Oil & Gas EPC projects.
- Experience managing large workforce camps with 500 to 5000+ employees.
- Background in catering and housekeeping oversight.
- Experience coordinating facilities and maintenance activities.
- Knowledge of HSE compliance requirements.
- Vendor and contract handling experience.
