Role overview

Dickenson County School System is hiring for a support position: Cafeteria Clerk/Manager in Clintwood, Virginia. The role centers on helping run cafeteria operations, with emphasis on food handling, equipment care, and day-to-day kitchen support.

What you will be expected to do

• Use sound knowledge of food preparation and safe food handling practices.
• Take responsibility for cleaning and maintaining cafeteria equipment.
• Support kitchen supervision and management activities when needed.
• Work in line with School Nutrition standards and USDA requirements where applicable.
• Handle computer-based tasks as part of the job.
• Assist with bookkeeping-related duties if required.

What the school is looking for

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Previous experience supervising a kitchen or managing food service operations is preferred.
• Experience working with School Nutrition programs and USDA guidelines is preferred.
• Computer proficiency is required.
• Bookkeeping experience is an added advantage.
