Role Summary
The CAD Drafter will support product development and manufacturing documentation by working closely with Engineering and Sales. This position reports to the CAD Manager and operates within an ISO 9001 quality environment.
Key Duties
- Partner with Engineering and Sales to help develop new and existing products.
- Create bills of materials and work steps for each product.
- Use SolidWorks to prepare complete manufacturing drawing sets for Magnum products.
- Track drawing revisions carefully and archive earlier versions.
- Coordinate with other teams to keep work instructions current across all products.
- Maintain a master index of product drawings along with their approval status.
- Follow ISO 9001 quality procedures in daily work.
Requirements
- Prior experience using a 3D CAD platform such as SolidWorks is preferred.
- An associate degree in Engineering Technology, or at least 2 years of relevant experience, is required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook is expected.
- Strong written and spoken communication abilities are important.
- Applicants should be organized and detail-oriented.
- Experience with structural steel assemblies is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with weldments is beneficial.
- Knowledge of GD&T best practices is a plus.
