About the Role

An established global recruitment firm in Auckland is hiring an experienced Business Support Manager to lead a busy operational support team. This is a leadership position with real scope to influence how the business runs day to day, while also contributing to longer-term improvements in process, compliance, reporting, and team performance.

You will partner closely with senior leaders and work in a fast-moving environment where service quality, accuracy, and people development are all priorities. The business is known for investing in its staff and offering strong opportunities for progression.

What You’ll Do

  • Guide, coach, and develop a team of business support staff, building a collaborative and high-performing culture.
  • Make sure consultants and sales teams receive dependable administrative and operational assistance.
  • Oversee reception and front-of-house duties so professional service standards are consistently upheld.
  • Manage compliance workflows, candidate files, and audit-related requirements to keep processes aligned with best practice.
  • Identify and implement improvements that make operations more efficient and effective.
  • Serve as a go-to expert on internal processes, systems, and reporting.
  • Organise internal meetings, business events, and office activities, including logistics and budgets when needed.
  • Prepare and monitor operational reports, ensuring the information is accurate and useful for decision-making.
  • Support leadership with planning, business administration, and operational projects.
  • Maintain CRM and other business systems, protecting data quality and process consistency.
  • Build strong working relationships across the organisation and act as a trusted operational partner.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience in operations or business support leadership, along with strong people management and organisational capability. You should be comfortable balancing several priorities at once while maintaining a high standard of delivery.

  • Background in leading or mentoring administrative, support, or operational teams.
  • Strong relationship management skills and confidence engaging with stakeholders at different levels.
  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation abilities.
  • A proactive mindset with a track record of improving processes.
  • Solid analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience handling compliance, reporting, and operational workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail and a focus on quality outcomes.
  • Comfort using CRM platforms, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Clear communication skills and the ability to influence across the business.
  • A practical, positive, and solutions-oriented approach.
