Overview
Empire Life is hiring a Business Quality Analyst II to join its PMO team in a hybrid arrangement based in Kingston or Toronto, Ontario. The total target compensation for this permanent role, including salary and target bonus, ranges from $78,698 to $125,350. The bonus component applies only to permanent positions; fixed-term contract and casual roles would receive base salary only.
What You'll Do
- Work closely with business leadership to gather, clarify, and document business requirements.
- Check delivered solutions against stakeholder expectations using manual validation methods.
- Apply the company’s Product Delivery Framework and internal delivery practices when supporting solutions.
- Review business gaps and recommend practical options to address them.
- Support and coach newer team members on the Product Delivery Framework.
- As needed, facilitate Scrum ceremonies and take ownership of smaller delivery initiatives.
What You Bring
- A post-secondary degree or diploma, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in a Business Analyst position.
- More than 2 years of experience working on Scrum-based teams and writing user stories.
- Strong ability to juggle priorities across multiple tasks or projects.
- Comfort working both independently and as part of a team.
- Adaptability in a fast-moving, changing environment.
- Ability to build productive relationships across the organization.
- Clear and effective communication skills across all levels, including senior leadership.
- Willingness to mentor, coach, and train junior colleagues.
- English proficiency is required for roles serving customers, advisors, or employees across Canada, unless otherwise stated.
