Job description
About the Company
Rilla builds virtual ridealong software for outside sales teams. Its platform is designed for field-facing sellers such as home improvement, home building, and property management professionals, helping capture and improve real customer conversations.
Sales representatives speak with customers while the mobile app records those interactions, then AI transcribes and analyzes the conversations so teams can sharpen performance and improve outcomes.
The company’s long-term goal is to extend conversation intelligence beyond meetings and call centers to the more than 10 million sales professionals who work offline. Rilla is described as one of the fastest-growing startups globally and is backed by investors including Crystal Huang from Google Ventures and Byron Deeter from Bessemer Venture Partners. It is also recognized as a Cloud 100 Rising Star company.
Role Overview
In this position, you will help design and maintain the frameworks, systems, and processes that allow the company to operate at high speed. You will work closely with leadership and collaborate across engineering, product, sales, and go-to-market teams to solve complex operational problems.
The job combines strategic problem-solving with hands-on execution. You will rework inefficient processes, replace manual work with automation, and bring order to teams that are scaling faster than their current systems can support.
This is a strong fit for someone who is highly organized, comfortable with demanding standards, and energized by working in uncertain, fast-moving environments.
What You Will Do
You will be embedded across teams such as engineering, product, sales, and GTM to understand workflows, identify friction points, and create the structures needed to improve them.
You will convert fragmented, manual, or incomplete processes into scalable systems.
You will implement and maintain tools that help teams perform effectively, including CRMs, dashboards, and automation solutions.
You will track KPIs and operational metrics, spot bottlenecks, and build company-wide improvements to increase efficiency.
You will manage systems access by granting and removing permissions as required.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is highly customer-focused, motivated by improving client experience rather than vanity metrics, and always eager to keep learning.
You should enjoy collaboration and feedback, be willing to take risks and learn from failure, and appreciate unconventional ideas and approaches.
Strong focus and disciplined prioritization are important, along with the ability to use time and resources efficiently.
Requirements
You should have 2 to 5+ years of experience in strategy consulting, business operations, finance, or another analytical or strategy-focused role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability is required, along with advanced Excel or Sheets modeling skills.
You need to be able to break down ambiguous problems, organize a clear approach, and execute quickly and accurately.
You must be able to communicate complex analysis in a simple, accessible way for non-technical audiences.
High ownership, low ego, and comfort balancing major strategic work with detailed execution are essential.
You should also be comfortable working in a fast-changing, high-growth environment where priorities can shift rapidly.
Nice to Have
Experience with CRMs, workflow automation tools, or business intelligence platforms would be an advantage.
Prior exposure to early-stage or high-growth startups, especially roles where you helped build systems from the ground up, is desirable.
It is also a plus if you have previously solved a problem that technically was not yours to own.
Work Environment
This role is meant for someone who is comfortable with a demanding pace and is excited by the challenge of building a generational company.
Applicants should be ready for approximately 70 hours of work per week, in person, alongside highly ambitious colleagues in New York City.
Compensation
The expected salary range for this role is $120,000 to $160,000 per year.
Candidates with competing offers may receive matching or competitive compensation.
Total compensation may also include incentive stock options and other future incentives. The estimate does not include the value of benefits or the possible future value of long-term incentives.
Benefits
Rilla offers benefits intended to remove obstacles so employees can focus on their work and long-term goals.
Available benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage; breakfast, lunch, dinner, and additional food and drinks six days per week; a gym membership; commuter support; relocation assistance; uncapped paid time off; a $1,000 learning and personal growth stipend; and tech equipment.
