Role overview

This position focuses on turning business data into clear reporting, analysis, and insights that help guide decisions across the organization. The analyst will act as the primary expert for Circana/Nielsen syndicated data and will support the creation, upkeep, and enhancement of Power BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations.

The role partners with Commercial Excellence, Revenue Growth Management, Trade Marketing, Commercial Planning, and senior leaders to deliver accurate and timely reporting from several sources, including Circana/Nielsen, SAP, Data Lake, Blue Planner, Marketing Mix, and other internal systems. It also involves working with Global IT and outside data partners to maintain data accuracy, consistency, and alignment across reporting tools.

Reporting and analytics

  • Own the monthly and quarterly Circana/Nielsen reporting cycle, including updates, distribution, and insights.
  • Check and maintain product hierarchies and item-level classifications in the Circana/Nielsen database.
  • Study syndicated sales data and prepare executive-ready summaries and business takeaways.
  • Share reports and updates with stakeholders across the business.
  • Balance priorities, deadlines, and deliverables to keep reporting accurate and on schedule.

Dashboard development and support

  • Maintain and verify existing Power BI dashboards that draw from Data Lake and other sources.
  • Work with Global IT to fix issues related to integration, mapping, and reporting outputs.
  • Create, refine, and expand Power BI dashboards and custom reports based on changing business needs.
  • Strengthen reporting by using both current and newly available data sources to produce deeper insights.

Data quality and governance

  • Find and correct data quality and cleansing issues across internal and external datasets.
  • Coordinate with data owners to improve accuracy, consistency, and documentation.
  • Support the organization’s single-source-of-truth effort by aligning reports across SAP, Circana/Nielsen, and Data Lake.
  • Check data transformations and reporting outputs to confirm they are dependable and accurate.
  • Examine complex datasets, identify the main business drivers, and suggest practical actions.

Cross-functional support

  • Work with Commercial Insights, Shopper Marketing, Category Management, Revenue Growth Management, Trade Marketing, Commercial Planning, Sales, Marketing, and leadership teams.
  • Collect reporting needs and convert them into useful dashboards and analytics solutions.
  • Suggest process improvements and reporting upgrades that improve business value and decision-making.
  • Adjust quickly to shifting business priorities while continuing to deliver high-quality work.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree is required, ideally in Business Analytics, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a similar analytical field.
  • At least 1–3+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, reporting, or a related area.
  • Hands-on experience with syndicated retail or consumer data platforms such as Circana, Nielsen, 84.51°, or Numerator.
  • Background working with cross-functional commercial groups such as Sales, Marketing, Revenue Growth Management, and E-commerce.
  • CPG or FMCG industry experience is preferred.
  • Strong Power BI development, maintenance, and reporting skills.
  • Working knowledge of DAX, field parameters, and dashboard design best practices.
  • Experience with data cleansing, validation, and data management workflows.
  • Basic SQL querying and data modeling ability.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Experience using Circana/Nielsen data is required.
  • Exposure to Databricks, Python, R, advanced analytics tools, or Data Lake architecture is an advantage.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain insights to audiences at all levels.

Additional information

  • Travel may be required occasionally, about 1–2 times per year, for conferences, training, or global meetings.
  • The role offers growth opportunities in advanced analytics, data science, BI leadership, and broader commercial strategy functions.

Benefits

  • PTO package covering vacation, sick, personal, and pay-it-forward time off.
  • 13 paid holidays.
  • 401(k) with company match up to 8%.
  • Annual bonus potential and merit-based salary increases.
  • Comprehensive health insurance.
  • Annual well-being subsidy.
  • 20 weeks of maternity leave and 12 weeks of paternity leave.
  • Annual reimbursement for a Sam’s Club or Costco membership.
  • Tuition-free college program or free continued education for degrees such as BA or master’s programs.
