About the Role

Bisnow is hiring an entry-level sales professional to join its Commercial Real Estate advertising and event sponsorship team. In this role, you will work with clients across the commercial real estate space to help promote their brands through media placements and live networking events. There is a clear growth track into a Business Manager role, with a strong emphasis on promoting talent from within.

This position follows a hybrid schedule in Washington, D.C., with 3 to 4 days spent in the office and 1 to 2 days working remotely. The office is located at 1730 Rhode Island Ave NW, Washington, DC 20036. Candidates who have built experience through internships, coursework, or early career roles are encouraged to apply, and the expected start date is July 6, 2026.

Role Summary

As a Business Development Representative, you will receive training on the full range of products and services offered to the commercial real estate market. You will collaborate with the sales team to generate meetings, build proposals, and move opportunities toward contract stage. Your routine will include training, client meetings, and event attendance to expand your knowledge and network within the industry.

The role is designed for someone who wants to develop into a business development executive and is ready to work hard, learn quickly, and grow into a future business manager position.

Responsibilities

  • Build and sustain relationships with marketing decision-makers across target markets, asset types, and industry sectors.
  • Support sponsorship sales for digital and in-person events by researching prospects and confirming sponsor participation.
  • Continuously source new business to strengthen the pipeline for senior sales colleagues.
  • Reach out to prospective sponsors through phone and email, and handle incoming leads promptly.
  • Partner with the event production team to create sponsor-friendly event programs that fit client interests.
  • Generate new and timely topic ideas that reflect changes and trends in the industry.
  • Track individual and team performance goals and work consistently to meet or exceed them on daily, weekly, and monthly timelines.
  • Maintain accurate activity records in Salesforce CRM.
  • Work closely with the sales team to shorten the sales cycle and expand access to target accounts.
  • Collaborate across functions to support the sponsorship, marketing, and financial success of events.

Requirements

  • 0 to 2 years of sales experience.
  • Strong drive, sharp thinking, and genuine enthusiasm.
  • A balance of entrepreneurial thinking and discipline, creativity and organization, ambition and humility.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new digital and event products.
  • Proven success in group or team settings.
  • Interest in moving into a client-facing sales role or similar position.
  • Interest in commercial real estate.
  • Interest in media and digital marketing solutions.
  • Openness to feedback and constructive criticism.
  • Comfort working in a fast-moving, high-energy, and frequently changing sales environment.
