Job description
Role overview
JPMorganChase is hiring a Business Development Specialist focused on inside sales. In this role, you will support customer growth by generating revenue through phone-based selling to both prospective and existing clients. The position calls for a self-driven professional who can work independently, move quickly toward clear targets, and contribute to the wider development of the business.
The role is expected to deliver at least 25 outbound calls each day, source leads independently, complete an average of 20 contracts each month, and contribute toward in-year net revenue results tied to an annual signed net revenue target. The position typically reports to a Territory Manager.
Responsibilities
Key duties include managing a strong pipeline of prospects and opportunities, responding to leads within one hour, and addressing common sales objections during the selling process until terms are successfully agreed.
You will also be expected to present the value of becoming a CPS merchant, offer recommendations and strategic guidance that strengthen the prospect’s understanding of the offering, and complete administrative work related to sales and non-sales activities with care and accuracy.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining timely lead records and reports in Salesforce, preparing and collecting contracts and supporting documents, and working with merchant application requirements connected to anti-money laundering policies.
Requirements
Applicants should hold a bachelor’s degree, or have equivalent business or sales management training if they do not have a degree. The role requires one to two years of outside sales experience.
Strong selling ability, clear communication, and solid interpersonal skills are necessary. Familiarity with Chase products and pricing practices is also expected.

JPMorganChase is among the world’s oldest financial institutions, serving consumers, small businesses, and major corporate, institutional, and government clients with a broad range of financial services. Its operations span investment banking, consumer and small business banking, commercial banking, financial transaction processing, and asset management.

It also notes that reasonable accommodations are available for applicants and employees with religious practice needs or mental health and physical disability requirements.
About the team
The position sits within J.P. Morgan’s Commercial & Investment Bank, a global business covering banking, markets, securities services, and payments. This group works with corporations, governments, and institutions in more than 100 countries, supporting clients with strategic advice, capital raising, risk management, and liquidity solutions.
