Job description
Role overview
Asana is looking for a Business Development Representative to help drive enterprise growth, with a strong focus on the Korean market. This position requires fluent business-level Korean and centers on building relationships across target accounts, opening new conversations in multiple departments, and creating a healthy pipeline for enterprise sales. The role supports complex sales cycles and helps set the stage for larger enterprise rollouts.
The sales organization uses a customer-led, bottom-up enterprise approach, helping smaller successful customers grow into larger accounts over time. The team also serves as an important feedback channel to the product organization, surfacing technical, educational, and competitive barriers that may affect growth.
Work location and schedule
This position is based in Sydney or Singapore and follows an office-first hybrid arrangement. In-office days are typically Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, while Monday and Friday are generally available for work from home. Final office expectations will be confirmed by the recruiter during the interview process.
What you will do
- Build enterprise pipeline for account executives through persistent outreach and tailored messaging that leads to qualified opportunities and expansion conversations.
- Use a multi-channel prospecting mix, including calls, email, and LinkedIn outreach, while improving sequences, templates, and messaging to make the process scalable and repeatable.
- Hold value-focused conversations with Director- and VP-level stakeholders across complex, cross-functional buying groups and create messaging and events that support meeting targets.
- Partner with AEs and CSMs to shape a territory plan using account-tier scoring so the team can prioritize the accounts with the highest ARR potential.
- Track and refresh weekly activity metrics, meetings, SQOs, and pipeline, and identify where outreach inputs are not converting into expected outputs.
- Run impactful trials effectively, meet SLA expectations, and use territory heat maps plus buyer-journey insights to prioritize target accounts through an ABM approach.
- Build a strong understanding of Asana use cases, workflows, and the ways the product can create value for customers.
What we are looking for
- Business-level fluency in Korean is essential.
- 6 to 12 months of experience in sales or sales development is required.
- Comfort using tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn Navigator to prospect and manage accounts.
- Proven ability to create outbound prospecting strategies and processes that reach senior decision-makers and generate pipeline.
- Strong interest in a technology career and the confidence to discuss the industry knowledgeably.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences and persuade effectively.
- Strong teamwork skills, especially when working with Account Executives and cross-functional partners to deliver business results.
- Clear communication, empathy, and a strong commitment to integrity.
- Interest in AI tools and emerging technologies, along with a willingness to learn and use them to improve productivity, collaboration, and decision-making.
Compensation and benefits
The estimated base salary for this role is AUD 78,400 to AUD 87,500 per year. Actual pay will depend on market conditions and the candidate’s qualifications as assessed during the interview process. The salary range is a guide and may be adjusted.
The total compensation package may also include equity, sales incentive pay for most sales roles, and benefits.
- Mental health, wellness, and fitness support
- Career coaching and professional support
- Inclusive family-building benefits
- Long-term savings or retirement plans
- In-office culinary choices that can suit dietary preferences
