Job description

About the company

Fin builds an AI customer agent platform designed to help businesses deliver consistently excellent customer experiences. Its AI agent is built to handle support across the full customer journey, including service, sales, and ecommerce, and can resolve complex issues end to end across channels with little setup or integration. The product can also work alongside Fin's natively integrated help desk to create a single system for modern support teams.

Founded in 2011, Fin has grown into one of the fastest-scaling companies in the world and is among the largest private software companies globally, with nearly 30,000 businesses using its products to improve customer support. The company emphasizes speed, intensity, customer value, and strong internal development.

Role overview

As a Business Development Representative, you will be central to pipeline creation for the sales organization and will help drive revenue growth by building demand and engaging prospects creatively and consistently. The role is focused on helping prospects understand the value of Fin while laying the groundwork for the sales team.

Fin places a strong emphasis on growth from within and invests in its BDR team so members can stretch beyond their comfort zones, learn quickly, and progress in their sales careers. The team is collaborative, goal-oriented, and expected to create real business impact.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and prioritize target account lists together with Account Executives.
  • Create qualified sales pipeline through outreach by phone, email, social channels, and other prospecting methods.
  • Deliver a positive and professional experience to prospective customers.
  • Stay current on the product, its positioning, and the value it brings to customers.
  • Show strong ability to identify and engage new customers.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve business processes.
  • Contribute to team growth through mentoring and development activities.

Required experience and skills

  • A strong ambition to build a long-term career in sales, with interest in moving into an Account Executive or similar closing role later on.
  • At least 1 year of customer-facing work experience; prior sales or SaaS exposure is an advantage.
  • Ability to work efficiently, manage time well, and focus on the activities that most effectively create pipeline.
  • Working knowledge of the SaaS market and the company’s target industries, along with awareness of industry developments and trends.
  • Prospecting capability across cold calls, email outreach, and social channels.
  • Comfort using modern sales engagement tools across phone, email, and professional networking platforms.
  • Clear communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences in verbal, written, and non-verbal formats.
  • A collaborative approach with strong listening skills and willingness to work closely with peers.
  • A growth mindset, self-awareness, and openness to feedback.
  • A results-driven attitude with persistence, accountability, and a strong desire to exceed goals.

Nice-to-have

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Familiarity with tools such as SFDC, Outreach, Cognism, ZoomInfo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary plus equity in a fast-growing startup.
  • Weekday lunch service, snacks, and a fully stocked kitchen.
  • Regular pay reviews to recognize strong performance.
  • Pension scheme with employer match of up to 4%.
  • Life assurance and comprehensive health and dental cover for employees and dependents.
  • Flexible paid time off.
  • Paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of paternity leave.
  • Cycle-to-Work Scheme with secure bike storage.
  • MacBooks as standard equipment, with Windows available for some roles where needed.

Work policy

This role follows a hybrid setup. The company expects employees to work from the office at least three days per week while also allowing flexibility to work from home.

Culture and equal opportunity

The company describes itself as open and accepting, with a workplace approach that avoids divisive topics and focuses on collaboration, shared values, and strong team culture. It also states a commitment to equal employment opportunity and says it does not discriminate on protected grounds including race, color, religion, creed, national origin, ancestry, sex, gender, age, disability, veteran or military status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, or any other legally protected status.
