Role overview
Equitas Small Finance Bank is hosting a walk-in hiring drive at its T. Nagar branch in Chennai for sales positions across the city. The opening is for a Business Development Officer focused on CASA and branch banking sales. Freshers may also be considered.
Job nature
This is a permanent, on-site sales role in branch banking.
Eligibility criteria
- Applicants should have 0 to 1 year of experience in branch banking sales.
- A completed degree is mandatory.
- Candidates must own a two-wheeler and have a valid driving licence.
- Any graduate can apply, provided the other criteria are met.
Key responsibilities
- Spot suitable local areas to source retail liability customers for the bank.
- Create and grow a lead database through referrals, field visits, stall-based outreach in high-footfall places such as apartment communities and shopping areas, and door-to-door promotion.
- Meet prospective customers, understand their financial needs, and recommend the right products while explaining benefits and features.
- Clearly inform customers about product terms, service charges such as locker fees, minimum balance requirements, and the documents needed for submission.
- Check customer documents carefully against original records and maintain confidentiality while handling them.
- Complete the account-opening workflow accurately and efficiently to ensure a smooth customer experience.
- Keep customers informed about the progress of their account-opening process.
- Follow up with newly acquired customers and identify opportunities to offer additional solutions such as loans and investment products.
- Develop referral sources from newly signed-up customers for future lead generation.
- Prepare daily sales reports and review plans, action items, and progress with the supervisor.
