Job description
About LEAP
LEAP is a global leader in legal practice management software and forms part of ATI, one of the world’s largest legal technology groups. For more than 30 years, the company has focused on continually improving the tools that help lawyers and their teams work more productively. Its software is used by more than 71,000 lawyers and staff in small and medium-sized law firms.
You’ll be joining a fast-moving business with a global team of more than 1,000 ambitious, supportive and high-performing people across Australia, Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, Poland and New Zealand.
The opportunity
LEAP is expanding quickly in New Zealand and is strengthening its sales team to capture growing demand. In this role, you will play a key part in generating new business across the NZ market, partnering with cross-functional teams to shape and execute go-to-market plans. As you build deep product knowledge and consistently deliver results, there may be an opportunity to progress into a regional sales manager role in New Zealand.
What you will do
- Build a strong sales pipeline through your network, direct outreach, and warm introductions or referrals.
- Support prospects throughout the buying process, from first conversation through to signed contract.
- Confidently present LEAP’s value proposition to opportunities, both face-to-face and virtually, with a focus on firms with 3 or more users.
- Become highly skilled in delivering LEAP product demonstrations.
- Track and share activity and KPI performance in Salesforce.
- Partner with post-sales delivery teams to ensure a smooth transition and onboarding experience for new customers.
- Carry out both independent and joint action plans that support commercial growth in the region.
- Represent the business at conferences, roadshows, exhibitions and other events while building relationships with current and prospective legal-sector clients.
What you will bring
- Experience selling software and supporting prospects in complex, competitive buying environments.
- Strong communication skills and sound judgment about when to use email, phone or direct conversation to move opportunities forward.
- Confidence in cold networking and relationship building.
- The ability to explain a complex product and market position clearly and persuasively.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to understand technical and commercial nuances.
- Solid problem-solving skills and awareness of how decisions affect different stakeholders.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to prioritise efforts that drive revenue.
Who you are
- Ambitious and eager to help lead an important go-to-market effort in a competitive market.
- A critical thinker who can quickly assess information, simplify complexity and reach practical answers.
- Someone who builds trust easily and forms strong relationships with new contacts.
- Commercially focused, with an eye for which initiatives deserve investment and which should be stopped.
Why join LEAP?
- Your work will have real purpose, helping local law firms deliver better outcomes for the communities they serve.
- You will be trusted with autonomy and given the chance to contribute to large, meaningful projects.
- You’ll work with genuine, passionate people who enjoy what they do.
- The company offers flexible and hybrid working, with openness to arrangements that suit your needs.
- There are clear opportunities to grow your career and stay ahead as the business evolves.
- You can enjoy social activities, celebrations, sports teams, sailing and yacht events.
- Wellbeing is supported through an additional paid wellbeing day each year, a free gym membership, a corporate dental plan and weekly office massages.
- The workplace includes a modern office with weekly catered breakfast and lunch, a fully stocked kitchen and an on-site barista.
- You’ll also have access to LEAP Home, a programme designed to help with purchasing your primary residence.
