Role overview

Xpandretail is hiring a Business Development Manager to lead new client acquisition in Saudi Arabia. This position is an individual contributor role centered on enterprise-level sales, with support from the sales and customer success teams based in Dubai.

Based in Dubai, the company serves malls, retailers, airports, hypermarkets, outdoor events, and public venues by helping them understand visitor movement, dwell time, and spending patterns.

Its product suite includes people counting, mall visitor analytics, retail intelligence, queue management, Wi‑Fi analytics, wayfinding, and IoT device management. The company works with Fortune 500 brands, major malls, and independent retailers, focusing on converting data into practical business decisions and measurable results.

Key responsibilities

The role involves building new business across Saudi Arabia and managing the sales process from first contact through to closure.

  • Identify, pursue, and win new business opportunities.
  • Create and grow a healthy sales pipeline using cold outreach, networking, referrals, industry events, and targeted prospecting.
  • Run discovery calls, presentations, demos, and solution workshops.
  • Develop strong relationships with stakeholders across retail, malls, and physical commerce environments.
  • Keep CRM records current and maintain accurate sales forecasts.

Requirements

Candidates should bring strong enterprise sales experience and be comfortable selling complex technology solutions in Saudi Arabia.

  • Bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA or master’s degree is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in SaaS, enterprise software, analytics, IoT, or technology sales.
  • Retail sector experience is preferred.
  • A proven record of winning enterprise-level deals is essential.
  • Fluency in both Arabic and English is mandatory.
  • Frequent travel across Saudi Arabia is part of the job.
  • A valid Saudi driving licence is preferred.

Performance focus

Success in this role will be measured through new business revenue, customer acquisition, pipeline expansion, conversion rate, forecast accuracy, and strategic account development.

Preferred industry background

Experience in retail analytics, footfall analytics, business intelligence, customer experience platforms, IoT, smart building technologies, SaaS, or digital transformation will be especially relevant.

Location and reporting

The position is based in Riyadh or Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and reports to the Head of Sales & Customer Success.

Travel requirement

This role requires extensive travel within Saudi Arabia.
