Job description
Role overview
This is a new business sales opportunity in corporate foreign exchange and payments, with two openings in New Zealand. The role offers the freedom to shape your own desk, with no fixed territory and no industry restrictions. You will be backed by a globally trusted FX and payments brand, in a market that is still largely untapped.
What the job involves
You will manage the complete sales journey from the first conversation through to conversion. The focus is on selling FX and payment solutions to corporate clients, including senior decision-makers such as CFOs, Managing Directors, and Finance Directors. Your responsibility is to win new business and then build the relationship further, while specialist FX dealers support the technical structuring so you can remain focused on commercial development.
Candidate profile
The employer is looking for someone with 2 to 3+ years of outbound B2B new business sales experience, including pipeline creation and closing deals personally. You should be comfortable speaking with senior finance stakeholders and ideally have experience in FX, SaaS, fintech, financial services, or another environment with a comparable sales process. A finance or economics background is welcome but not essential. The team values people who are grounded, quick-thinking, and easy to work with.
Compensation and development
The package includes a base salary of NZD 100,000 to NZD 120,000, depending on experience, plus 25% commission on all revenue generated across years one and two. High performers can earn strongly in this structure. You will also receive a structured ramp-up period of 2 to 2.5 months, with training and tools provided before full performance is expected. The company is also investing heavily in learning, AI, and technology from the outset, and the role offers a long-term career path within an internationally recognised business.
Why this opportunity stands out
Foreign exchange is considered highly resilient because every business trading internationally must manage currency exposure. That means you are selling into a lasting business need with a trusted brand already in place. The hiring is for two roles and the need is immediate, but the emphasis remains on finding the right fit rather than simply filling the seats quickly.
Location
The position is based in New Zealand, with Auckland or Christchurch preferred.
Application note
If this opportunity matches your background, or if you know someone who may be a strong fit, you can express interest directly through the hiring contact.
