Job description
Role overview
Unispace, a worldwide specialist in workplace strategy, design, and construction, is growing its outbound sales team across ANZ and is looking for a driven Business Development Executive (Telesales) to join the Sydney office.
In this role, you will be the initial contact for potential customers, create fresh business opportunities, and help expand the sales pipeline. The position moves quickly and is heavily focused on targets, so it suits someone who is energetic, persuasive, resilient, and motivated by strong results.
What you will do
- Make outbound phone calls and run email outreach to prospective clients.
- Engage quickly and build trust and credibility with contacts.
- Spot opportunities related to workplace strategy, design, and construction.
- Handle a large volume of outreach activity while staying accurate and professional.
- Assess prospects using a structured qualification approach.
- Record complete and accurate information in the CRM.
- Arrange discovery meetings and introductions for senior Sales and Client Directors.
- Ensure qualified leads are handed over smoothly.
- Meet and outperform monthly KPIs such as call volume, conversion rate, meetings booked, and opportunities generated.
- Keep follow-up activity moving to support pipeline growth.
- Share ideas to improve messaging, call scripts, and outreach methods.
- Work closely with the Telesales Manager and take part in ongoing coaching and development.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to strengthen campaigns and improve conversion.
- Contribute to the wider business development strategy across ANZ.
About you
You are likely to succeed in this role if you are outgoing, persuasive, and strongly self-driven. You should be comfortable in a target-based sales environment, able to cope with rejection, and able to stay positive and resilient. Strong communication and relationship-building skills are important, along with good organisation, attention to detail, and discipline in CRM follow-up. A curious, proactive attitude and willingness to learn are also key.
Experience
Experience in telesales, outbound sales, lead generation, business development, recruitment, customer acquisition, or a similar client-facing position would be beneficial.
What is offered
- Competitive compensation package.
- Attractive employee benefits.
- Pension contributions.
- Paid annual leave.
- Opportunities for career growth and progression.
- Access to a global business with collaboration opportunities across international offices.
- Employee wellbeing, recognition, and reward programmes.
