Role overview
This is a field-based business development role in Mumbai, focused on building and nurturing referral networks with general practitioners and external doctors. The position reports to the Business Development Head within the Growth & Marketing function.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and sustain strong relationships with GPs and external physicians to increase referral inflow.
- Carry out regular in-person field visits and maintain weekly follow-up interactions with doctors.
- Support brand visibility through community events, awareness initiatives, and CME activities.
- Monitor referral movement, doctor engagement quality, and conversion performance, then share updates and reports.
- Work closely with the marketing and operations teams to improve the referral-to-surgery process.
Performance expectations
- Meet weekly and monthly goals for referral generation.
- Maintain expected visit frequency and relationship-strength standards with doctors.
- Track how effectively referrals convert into surgeries or other outcomes.
- Take part in local events and outreach campaigns as required.
- Demonstrate strong people skills and the ability to build long-term professional relationships.
Candidate profile
- 2 to 7 years of experience in field sales or hospital marketing is preferred.
- Prior exposure to pharma, diagnostics, or hospital referral-based roles will be an advantage.
- Must be comfortable with frequent local travel and field assignments; having a two-wheeler is preferred.
- Should be goal-oriented and disciplined in reporting and follow-up.
