Overview
MIBA LLC is seeking a proactive and motivated Business Development Assistant to support our growth in the Ethiopian market. This full-time remote role requires a candidate capable of conducting market analysis, fostering relationships, and facilitating business expansion initiatives over a minimum one-year contract or longer freelance engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze market trends, identify emerging opportunities, and evaluate challenges within Ethiopia's business landscape.
- Establish and nurture partnerships with local enterprises, stakeholders, and collaborators.
- Contribute to the design and execution of business development plans specifically tailored for Ethiopian markets.
- Assist with crafting proposals, preparing grant submissions, and supporting fundraising campaigns.
- Work collaboratively with various departments to ensure business objectives align and are achieved.
- Track and report on the success and impact of business development efforts.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or related disciplines.
- Between two to four years experience in business development, sales, or similar roles, preferably focused on Ethiopia or similar regional markets.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Ethiopia's cultural, economic, and regulatory environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Fluency in both English and Amharic, with additional local languages advantageous.
- Capability to operate both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, ERP, and CRM software platforms.
Preferred Skills
- Background in grant writing or securing funding.
- Understanding of public-private partnership models and social enterprise frameworks.
- Strong analytical abilities to interpret data for strategic decision-making.
Additional Information
