Role overview
Infosys is looking for a Business Analyst focused on regulatory reporting within the financial services domain. The position is based in Bengaluru East, Karnataka, and may also require coordination with teams in Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, and Bangalore, or relocation to one of these locations if needed.
Education and experience
A bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent foreign qualification from an accredited institution, is required. Candidates with three years of progressive experience in the relevant specialty may be considered in place of one year of formal education, as applicable. The role calls for at least 3 years of IT experience, along with significant exposure to business analysis and financial services environments.
Domain exposure
Applicants should bring hands-on experience in capital markets, regulatory reporting, equities, derivatives, anti-money laundering, trade surveillance, or closely related areas. Background in risk, compliance, AML, investment banking, operational risk, or credit risk is preferred.
Key responsibilities
The role involves working closely with business stakeholders and technology teams throughout the delivery lifecycle. The analyst will help define capabilities, gather and analyze requirements, document business processes, support solution evaluation, and stay engaged from build through validation and deployment.
Requirements and qualifications
The ideal candidate should have strong experience in producing requirement specifications from architecture, design, and process details, as well as in documenting and mapping current-state business processes. Experience with consulting-style requirement capture, development/configuration validation, and deployment support is expected. A solid foundation in requirement analysis, elicitation, and agile ways of working is important.
Strong analytical ability, clear communication, confident presentation skills, planning, coordination, and project management experience are all important for this position. The role also requires comfort working in a management consulting environment that involves regular travel.
Technical knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL is needed, and familiarity with BRD and FSD documentation is preferred. Experience in data analysis and trade surveillance is also valuable.
Additional information
Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, or Bangalore, or be willing to relocate to one of these locations.
