Job description

Role overview

Join the Security & Trust Organization, where the focus is on protecting Cisco’s products, employees, customers, partners, and regulators through trusted security programs and solutions. This team works in a highly collaborative environment and partners across internal groups such as IT, Product, Customer Experience, and many other business units to deliver security-focused initiatives.

What you will do

In this role, you will turn complex financial and operational information into practical insights that support smarter decisions across the Security & Trust Organization. You will collaborate with Finance, Engineering, Product, and business partners to improve reporting, analytics, and operational visibility.

  • Build and support BI dashboards and reporting tools that convert complicated data into clear insights for leaders and stakeholders.
  • Examine large data sets to uncover trends, patterns, unusual changes, and the main factors influencing business performance.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand needs, define business requirements, convert use cases into technical approaches, and shape data-backed recommendations.
  • Assist with advanced analytics, automation, and AI-enabled tools or copilots used to interpret and present financial and operational insights, while preserving accuracy, security, and usability.
  • Maintain strong data quality, governance, documentation, lineage, and reporting standards to ensure integrity and compliance.
  • Spot opportunities to automate work, improve efficiency, and reduce costs in support of growth and operational excellence.

Minimum qualifications

  • Within the last 3 years, either completed or currently enrolled with expected completion within 12 months: a Bachelor’s degree plus 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree plus 0 years of relevant experience. Relevant study areas include Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a similar discipline.
  • Hands-on experience with business intelligence and visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or comparable tools to create dashboards, reports, and insights.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, including experience working with large datasets and using SQL and other data tools to turn findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience supporting data automation, advanced analytics, predictive reporting, business intelligence initiatives, or emerging technology solutions that improve reporting and decision-making.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to work in the United States without now or later requiring visa sponsorship.

Preferred qualifications

  • Exposure to AI/ML solutions, large language models, natural language processing, AI copilots, prompt engineering, predictive analytics, or automated reporting.
  • Experience with Python, R, or similar languages used for advanced analysis, automation, model development, or AI solution delivery.
  • Familiarity with cloud data platforms and warehouses such as Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Azure Synapse, Databricks, or similar systems.
  • Understanding of financial data structures, accounting principles, forecasting workflows, financial reporting environments, or business performance analytics.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to explain technical topics and data insights to non-technical audiences.

Compensation and benefits

The expected starting pay range for this position is $95,000.00 to $120,400.00, excluding incentive compensation, equity, and benefits. Actual pay depends on location, market conditions, relevant skills, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and training.

For this role, the full salary range varies by location. In the New York City metro area, the range is $95,000.00 to $138,400.00. In non-metro New York State and Washington State, the range is $84,100.00 to $123,000.00.

U.S. employees may receive benefits under Cisco’s eligibility rules, including medical, dental, and vision coverage; a 401(k) plan with company match; paid parental leave; short- and long-term disability coverage; and basic life insurance. Time off and additional pay

Paid time away may include 10 holidays per full calendar year, plus 1 floating holiday for non-exempt employees, 1 paid birthday day off, a year-end holiday shutdown, and 4 paid wellness days determined by Cisco.

Non-exempt employees receive 16 days of paid vacation per full calendar year, accrued at 4.92 hours per pay period for full-time staff. Exempt employees participate in a flexible vacation program with no fixed annual limit, subject to availability and business needs.

Sick leave provides 80 hours on the hire date and again each January 1, with up to 80 unused hours carried into the next calendar year. Additional paid time may be approved for urgent family matters. Employees may also be eligible for up to 10 paid volunteer days each year.

Non-sales roles may also qualify for annual bonuses under Cisco policy. Sales-plan compensation details, including quota-based incentive rates and non-quota performance elements, are described by Cisco for applicable sales positions.

The hiring window is expected to close on 06/24/2026, though the posting may be withdrawn earlier if the role is filled or if enough applications are received.

Applicants for U.S. roles must have authorization to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
