Job description

Role overview

This opportunity is with a leading insurance business that is in the middle of a wide-ranging transformation across technology, data, and core operations in the UK and international markets. The company is building a new and expanding change team in Manchester and is looking for a Business Analyst to contribute to that journey.

The position sits within a fast-evolving environment with significant investment in Technology, Data, and AI. More than 20 change programmes are already in motion, including work on underwriting platforms, global business transformation, finance systems, and the modernisation of operational processes.

What the role involves

You will partner with Technology, Data, and business stakeholders to help define, shape, and deliver complex change initiatives from early discovery through to implementation. The role suits someone who enjoys working in a dynamic setting, engaging with senior stakeholders, understanding business needs, translating them into workable requirements, mapping current and future processes, and supporting the delivery of meaningful change across several programmes at once.

Because this is an early-stage hire in a growing function, you will have the chance to influence how the team is built, how delivery is structured, and how the wider change capability develops over the coming years.

Key experience sought

  • Background as a Business Analyst on technology or business change projects
  • Experience in insurance or financial services
  • Confidence working with both business and technical stakeholders
  • Ability to gather, analyse, and document business requirements clearly
  • Experience with process mapping and workflow improvement
  • Comfort working across multiple initiatives at the same time
  • A collaborative, open, and delivery-oriented approach
  • Capability to influence teams and help enable positive change

Why this opportunity stands out

  • Strong investment in technology, data, and AI
  • Manchester is becoming an important strategic centre for the business
  • A supportive and highly collaborative leadership group
  • A long-term transformation agenda with substantial scope
  • The chance to help shape a new and growing change function
  • Healthy pipeline of future hiring and progression opportunities

Compensation and benefits

The package includes a competitive salary, bonus, private health cover, and a strong pension contribution.
