Job description

About the company

Amach is a technology-focused organisation headquartered in Dublin, with distributed teams across the UK and Europe. Its blended delivery model combines local and nearshore talent to produce high-quality, collaborative outcomes. Established in 2013, the company was built to address complexity in aviation by turning fragmented information into practical intelligence. Today, it helps airlines modernise operations through cloud, data, and AI solutions delivered by teams with strong aviation expertise.

The organisation’s aim is to improve airline efficiency by making better use of resources, lowering costs, and enhancing the customer experience. It is now looking for a Business Analyst to help shape and advance enterprise Data Governance initiatives across the business.

Role overview

This position is centred on clarifying business needs, strengthening data quality and governance practices, and ensuring data, analytics, and AI capabilities stay aligned with organisational goals and day-to-day operational needs. You will work across Data & Analytics, Technology, Customer, Commercial, Finance, and Operations teams, acting as the link between business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable governance outcomes.

Location is hybrid, with two days per week required in the Dublin office.

Key responsibilities

  • Own the discovery, analysis, and documentation of requirements for data governance workstreams, covering governance frameworks, metadata and catalogue management, data ownership and access models, data quality enhancement, and data/AI governance.
  • Help drive the rollout and continued upkeep of the enterprise data catalogue.
  • Work with business stakeholders to identify key data assets, define business rules, and shape governance processes.
  • Run workshops and engagement sessions to capture needs and build alignment across teams.
  • Review existing data sources, pinpoint quality gaps, and contribute to solution design and corrective actions.
  • Create well-structured business and functional requirements, process maps, and governance documentation.
  • Partner with Agile delivery and technology teams to support smooth implementation.
  • Design and maintain operating procedures for ownership, cataloguing, access, and quality controls.
  • Assist with audit, risk, compliance, and governance reporting tasks.
  • Track and communicate governance KPIs, adoption measures, and programme status.

Experience and requirements

  • Background as a Business Analyst within data, analytics, governance, or technology settings.
  • Solid understanding of data governance and data quality programmes.
  • Hands-on experience with requirements gathering and cross-functional workshop facilitation.
  • Familiarity with data catalogues and metadata management tools such as Atlan, Collibra, or Purview.
  • Strong capability in analysis, documentation, and stakeholder coordination.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
  • Ability to convert business needs into actionable and clearly defined requirements.

What’s on offer

  • Opportunity to join a fast-growing business.
  • Pathways for career progression.
  • Access to learning and development opportunities.
  • Flexible working setup.
  • Competitive pay based on experience.
