Job description
About The Dock
The Dock is Accenture’s main research, development, and global innovation center in Dublin’s Grand Canal Dock. It serves as an incubation environment for AI and GenAI agentic solutions, bringing together business strategists, designers, engineers, data scientists, and entrepreneurs. The team works on challenges that aim to create meaningful products and services, spanning early exploration through to practical launch and deployment.
Role overview
We are hiring a Business Analyst to join the Business, Product & Commercial Strategy team. This team owns and coordinates the projects, programmes, and portfolios needed to shape, test, and launch new market-leading business propositions within The Dock. These propositions may include pilot-ready assets, offerings, software, and ecosystem-based initiatives, and each innovation engagement is different.
In this role, you could contribute at the concept stage, help assess the wider ecosystem and possible partners, support the creation of innovation strategy outputs, and assist with the product development of solutions incubated in The Dock. You will need to work closely with software engineers, data scientists, designers, and subject matter experts.
What you will do
You will support the Innovation Lead and key stakeholders in clarifying project objectives and turning them into high-level requirements. You will also help drive delivery across the full project lifecycle, including agile ceremonies, workshop planning and facilitation, status meetings, PMO support, and content creation.
A key part of the role is developing a strong understanding of the project context, including the market landscape, stakeholder environment, and technical direction, so you can connect deliverables to the broader outcomes and act as the link between different disciplines on the team.
You will contribute to quality assurance by reviewing designs, prototypes, and other outputs to make sure they meet expectations. You will also manage assigned tasks within agreed schedules, escalate issues promptly, produce high-quality outputs aligned to business goals, and communicate clearly to different audiences, including clients and stakeholders where needed.
In addition, you will work with other workstreams to share project updates, generate interest, and encourage collaboration across The Dock and the wider Accenture community. You will also build a broad network across teams and stakeholders to exchange ideas, lessons learned, and best practices, while demonstrating an understanding of The Dock’s value model, services, offerings, and client relevance.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should already have some experience in a similar position. A minimum 2:1 degree, or an equivalent qualification, from a relevant subject area is required. You should have strong organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise work, manage schedules and resources, and stay aligned with team objectives.
You must also have a proven record of supporting or delivering business projects and working effectively with stakeholders. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as is hands-on experience with agile delivery tools such as JIRA and Confluence. The role also calls for excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills, including the ability to engage confidently with senior stakeholders.
Because the work moves quickly, you should be comfortable working through uncertainty and be able to adapt readily when priorities change.
Nice to have
It would be an advantage if you have succeeded in fast-moving, growth-oriented environments and have curiosity about emerging technologies and experimentation. Interest in the commercial value and return of the work is also desirable.
Additional strengths include practical business analysis capability in requirements management, process modelling, and data analysis using SQL, Excel, or BI tools, along with familiarity with system integrations and agile working methods.
Professional credentials such as CSM or SPO for Agile delivery, or project management qualifications such as PMP, CAPM, or PRINCE2, would also be welcome.
