The role combines business strategy, data analysis, and product thinking, and may also involve hands-on analytical work when needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with executives and business leaders to understand objectives and identify where analytics can support better decisions.
  • Translate technical and data concepts into clear, concise communication for different stakeholder groups.
  • Support cross-functional teams by providing detailed insights for complex business challenges through advanced analytics.
  • Partner with data engineers and data scientists to deliver outcomes.
  • Use available tools and resources to plan, assess, and execute strategic initiatives.
  • Coordinate work across internal, external, and multi-shore teams, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality execution.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline business processes, improve operations, and address technical debt across the data landscape.
  • Promote an automation-first, enterprise-first, and reusable approach when designing solutions.
  • Help define solution architecture and build alignment across teams for data initiatives.
  • Collaborate in Agile environments to design, develop, test, implement, and support data technology solutions.
  • Apply data governance practices with business stakeholders and governance teams to encourage data literacy and democratization.
  • Build scalable, reliable data engineering solutions that move data across systems in batch and real-time modes.
  • Analyze structured data and apply statistical, mathematical, and advanced analytical methods to support modeling and algorithm development.
  • Work with cloud concepts and infrastructure tools, including SaaS, PaaS, DaaS, IaaS, and infrastructure as code.
  • Troubleshoot, monitor, and tune the performance of analytical solutions and RESTful web services.
  • Use large database mining tools and statistical languages to support analytical use cases.
  • Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations in Power BI using strong storytelling and visualization practices.
  • Analyze trends and patterns, then recommend actions that improve business performance.
  • Train and support end users so they can use Power BI effectively and make data-informed decisions.
  • Present findings through reports and presentations and help educate others on results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with typically 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, statistics, computer science, economics, or a related discipline.
  • At least 5 years of experience in data analytics, including 2 years in a leadership or mentorship capacity.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualization tools.
  • Strong working knowledge of SQL, Python, R, or comparable analytical tools.
  • Solid understanding of statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and data mining methods.
  • Experience using platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage stakeholders effectively.
  • Ability to handle several projects and priorities in a fast-moving environment.
  • Leadership ability to coach teams and drive accountability and innovation.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to align work to longer-term goals.
  • Creative problem-solving skills for handling complex challenges.
  • Proficiency with Python, SQL, Spark, and cloud-native tools.
  • Working knowledge of Snowflake, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, PySpark, analytical SQL, Alation, R, Python, SAP, and IBM DataStage is highly beneficial.
