Job description

Role Overview

Moda Operandi is looking for a Brand Operations Assistant to act as a central coordinator across warehouse, planning, merchandising, marketing, accounts payable, and customer care teams. The role focuses on order confirmations, receipts, inventory tracking, returns, and resolving merchandise-related issues.

Work Arrangement

This position follows a hybrid schedule, with one required day in the Brooklyn, New York office each week on Wednesday. The office location is in Industry City, Brooklyn.

Key Duties

  • Support cross-functional merchandise operations, including deliveries, discrepancies, inventory, returns, and related tasks.
  • Communicate promptly and professionally with brand partners.
  • Check order confirmations and send timely feedback or comments to brands.
  • Contact brands regarding shipment and delivery status.
  • Follow up with brands on issues such as short shipments, overshipments, and incorrect items.
  • Coordinate with brands about GTIN codes as needed.
  • Process returns to brands without unnecessary delay.
  • Keep the Customer Care team updated on brand concerns, delays, and other relevant changes.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of Moda Operandi’s customer expectations.
  • Demonstrate and reflect the company’s values in day-to-day work.

Experience and Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent background is required. Previous experience in a similar position is helpful, though not mandatory. Familiarity with NetSuite and Zendesk is a plus, but not essential.

Skills and Working Style

Strong written and verbal communication, solid organization, and effective prioritization are important for success in this role. The ideal candidate should be comfortable collaborating with others, open to different viewpoints, self-driven, adaptable, calm under pressure, and able to bring a positive attitude to the team. A basic understanding of fashion and luxury goods is expected. The role also calls for intermediate-level use of Microsoft and Google tools.

Schedule Notes

Availability may need to extend to weekend or holiday rotation coverage during peak periods.

Compensation

The annual salary range is $50,000 to $60,000, plus a discretionary bonus.
