Role overview
Noble House Trading & Services is looking for a Bookkeeper to support the Finance Department across its group companies. The position is responsible for keeping financial records accurate, consistent, and up to date across multiple business units, while helping maintain strong financial controls and dependable reporting for management. The group operates in retail, wholesale, uniforms, educational resources, logistics, and food & beverage.
Core responsibilities
- Maintain proper books and records for several entities, making sure transactions are posted to the right company and intercompany rules are followed.
- Handle shared cost allocations, cross-company postings, and transactions between group entities.
- Record daily and weekly sales, purchases, expenses, petty cash, and bank movements for the group.
- Keep ledgers, journals, reconciliations, and filing systems organized across all companies.
- Ensure supporting paperwork is collected from relevant teams such as retail, warehouse, restaurants, operations, and HR.
- Process supplier bills for all entities and help prepare combined payment schedules.
- Track customer receivables, including wholesale school accounts and retail-related balances, and follow up on collections.
- Match vendor statements and customer accounts across the companies.
- Carry out daily bank reconciliations for each company account.
- Monitor cash transfers between retail locations, restaurant outlets, the warehouse, and head office.
- Ensure cash collections are deposited on time and cash handling remains accurate and controlled.
- Coordinate with warehousing teams for uniforms, resources, and restaurant supplies to match purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices.
- Support monthly stock counts and help reconcile stock variances.
- Assist with cost allocation for uniforms production, retail inventory, restaurant consumables, and shared logistics.
- Help prepare monthly financial reports for individual companies as well as group-wide consolidated reporting.
- Support VAT compliance, where applicable, and assist with audit-related requirements.
- Keep complete backup records for all financial transactions.
- Support group finance schedules, reconciliations, consolidation tasks, and intercompany settlement activities.
- Help align intercompany balances and contribute to better finance processes and operating efficiency.
Qualifications and requirements
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 2 to 3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting; experience in multi-entity accounting is an added advantage.
- Working knowledge of accounting software such as QuickBooks, Tally, Zoho, or similar tools.
- Strong command of Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and reconciliations.
- Excellent accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize work and manage responsibilities across multiple companies.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
Additional details
This role is based in Doha, Qatar, and is a full-time onsite position. It is suited to candidates who can manage accounting work in a multi-company environment and support day-to-day finance operations across different business functions.
