Role Summary
This is a full-time, on-site Biomedical Service Engineer position located in Doha, Qatar. The role centers on installing, commissioning, and setting up biomedical and laboratory equipment at customer locations so that systems operate safely and as intended. The engineer will also carry out preventive servicing, fault diagnosis, and repairs, while handling breakdown requests and service calls promptly.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will support end users through technical guidance and training, document service activities clearly, and work with suppliers and internal colleagues to source spare parts and obtain technical documents. You will also take part in equipment demonstrations, assist with acceptance testing, and help ensure that work practices align with applicable safety and quality requirements.
Candidate Profile
The ideal applicant should have practical experience in maintaining and repairing biomedical or laboratory equipment, including both preventive and corrective servicing. Strong troubleshooting ability, customer-facing technical support skills, and hands-on field service exposure are important. Good communication is needed for coordination with healthcare professionals, internal teams, and international suppliers. The role also requires the ability to review technical manuals, diagrams, and service records, along with familiarity with hospital and laboratory settings, safety standards, and quality procedures. A valid driver’s license and readiness to travel within Qatar for service visits are necessary. Any relevant certifications or product-specific training will be considered an advantage.
Education
A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline is required.
