Biology Analyst

Role Overview

This is a short-term, task-oriented contract for a STEM Biology Expert working remotely from India. The assignment runs for 3 months and pays $250 per task. The schedule requires 8 hours of work each day, with at least 4 hours overlapping with PST.

Key Responsibilities

• Create difficult Biology questions and solve them to test where large language models fall short.
• Prepare clear, rigorous, step-by-step solutions with well-structured reasoning.
• Work with LLM researchers to match question styles to evaluation objectives, particularly for areas that models usually handle poorly.
• Help shape new evaluation benchmarks using Biology content from early undergraduate level through PhD-level topics.
• Work through advanced biological problems using a logical, methodical approach.
• Present Biology ideas in a simple, accessible way, using visuals or simulations when helpful.
• Add thoughtful feedback and detailed annotations for AI evaluation processes.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a closely related discipline, or current enrollment in a PhD/postdoctoral program.
• Strong research and analytical capability.
• Ability to give useful feedback and detailed annotations.
• Creative, lateral-thinking mindset.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for remote work.
• Self-driven and comfortable working independently.
• Must have a desktop or laptop and a dependable internet connection.
