Why this opportunity stands out

This role offers the chance to contribute to major construction and civil engineering work across Ireland while building skills to industry-leading standards. BAM also highlights a competitive pay and benefits package, with options designed to suit different lifestyles.

Benefits and rewards

  • 8% employer pension contribution
  • Private health insurance
  • Dental coverage
  • 26 days of annual leave, increasing with length of service
  • 2 wellbeing days each year
  • Paid maternity and paternity leave

Key duties

The BIM Coordinator will support information management and digital project delivery throughout the project lifecycle. The role involves working to BAM’s standards, client requirements, and ISO 19650-based processes where applicable.

Information management and coordination

  • Maintain and support the project information model for distribution within the project team and for formal client sharing, while following the relevant project exchange and security rules.
  • Confirm that project and contract procedures are aligned with BAM’s ISO 19650 information standards.
  • Make sure model coordination and mobilisation plans are established and reviewed on a regular basis.
  • Ensure all stakeholders use the CDE in the correct way, in line with BAM information standards, client expectations, and ISO 19650 requirements where relevant.
  • Check that model information is accurate in both graphical and non-graphical form and that the required level of information is delivered, with reporting as needed.
  • Help build the project information model and review task-team outputs, raising non-conformances where quality falls short.
  • Introduce digital processes across projects and contracts at every stage of the asset lifecycle, as required.
  • Create compliant workflows that meet client requirements, BAM standards, and ISO 19650 obligations where needed, and ensure they are planned, documented, and communicated clearly.
  • Support the development of the MIDP and TIDP.
  • Work with IT and the wider Digital Project Solutions team to make sure digital tools and working methods are efficient and suitable for the project or asset stage.
  • Understand user challenges with software or tools and resolve issues quickly to protect productivity and performance.

Candidate profile

BAM is looking for someone who works well in a team, manages time effectively, communicates clearly, and shows a strong interest in digital construction or digital facilities management. A basic understanding of ISO 19650 is expected, along with alignment to BAM’s values.

Application and inclusion

BAM says it is committed to a welcoming and inclusive workplace and recruitment process. If any adjustment is needed to make the process more accessible, candidates are encouraged to raise it. The company also notes that CVs should not be sent directly by email.
