Role overview
The Billing Team is hiring a Billing Configuration Specialist to support accurate billing operations. Reporting to the Billing Manager, this position is responsible for setting up clients, services, and vendors correctly inside WMX so invoices are produced on time and without errors. The role also supports billing-related onboarding, maintains account accuracy, and handles specialized billing scenarios. It suits someone who is organized, detail-focused, and motivated by process quality and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities
- Configure new clients, services, and vendors with the correct pricing, contract terms, and invoicing rules.
- Handle non-standard billing items such as waste audits, consulting work, ad-hoc invoices, Stripe payments, and equipment sales.
- Update client accounts, including changes to legal names and ownership, within the expected timelines.
- Check billing setups for accuracy and fix mismatches so they align with agreements and approved pricing.
- Work closely with Billing, Finance, Sales, and Operations to support billing needs and explain billing processes.
- Look for ways to simplify billing workflows and improve efficiency.

Compensation and benefits
The annual salary for this position is $52,000 to $56,000. The role is a current vacancy and offers remote work flexibility.
