Role overview
The school is looking for a Basketball Coach to guide students in sports training and help build their skills, confidence, and discipline through structured coaching sessions and competitive preparation.
Key responsibilities
- Lead basketball training sessions for students of various age groups.
- Introduce and reinforce basketball fundamentals, game rules, and match tactics.
- Design warm-ups, conditioning routines, and practical drills for regular training.
- Prepare students for inter-school tournaments and other sporting competitions.
- Keep student safety a priority throughout practice sessions and matches.
- Encourage discipline, collaboration, and good sporting conduct among players.
- Track student progress and share timely performance feedback.
- Work with school leadership to support sports programs, events, and activities.
Preferred profile
The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or a related discipline, along with a strong interest in student development and sports training. Basketball coaching certification is an added advantage. Candidates with 1 to 3 years of relevant coaching or teaching experience and strong communication and classroom management abilities are preferred.
