Role overview
We are looking for a motivated Barista to join the Defence team in Salisbury, England, on a full-time basis. The position is for 40 hours per week and is set across 5 days out of 7. Please note that the contract covers 50.2 weeks per year.
This role is focused on delivering excellent customer service while preparing high-quality coffees and other beverages. The employer supports career growth, values individuality, and recognises employees who consistently go the extra mile.
Key duties
- Prepare well-crafted drinks and serve food items to a high standard so customers have a positive experience.
- Keep the beverage and service area tidy and organised.
- Handle payments, including cash and card transactions.
- Work positively with the team and communicate clearly with customers and colleagues.
- Maintain adequate supplies of clean cups, mugs, and plates.
- Build knowledge of brewing techniques, drink blends, food preparation, and presentation.
- Ensure brewing machines and related equipment are working properly and report any faults or maintenance concerns.
- Represent the Defence brand professionally and help maintain a strong public image.
- Follow food hygiene and handling standards at all times.
- Comply with all relevant health and safety rules.
