Role overview

This full-time, on-site position in Dehradun is for a Barista who can prepare and serve espresso drinks, brewed coffee, and other café beverages in line with set recipes and quality expectations. The role also includes guest interaction, payment handling, food prep for companion items, and keeping the café environment clean and organized.

What you will do

  • Make espresso-based drinks, brewed coffee, and other beverages according to standard recipes.
  • Operate coffee-making equipment safely and correctly during service.
  • Prepare light food items and support basic kitchen-related tasks when needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness across the bar area and seating spaces.
  • Follow hygiene, food safety, and workplace safety practices at all times.
  • Welcome guests, take orders, answer menu and coffee-related questions, and process payments.
  • Work with the team during busy periods, replenish supplies, and help keep operations running smoothly.

Skills and qualifications

Applicants should have practical barista ability, including espresso extraction, milk texturing, and basic latte art. Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills are important for dealing with guests politely and working well with colleagues. A basic understanding of food preparation, hygiene, and safety is also expected. Prior experience in a café or food-and-beverage setting is helpful, as is comfort with shift-based work, simple cash handling, and learning specialty coffee practices. The job also requires the ability to stand for long periods, perform well in a busy environment, and follow standard operating procedures.
