Job description
Role Overview and Responsibilities
- Ensure continuous monitoring and upkeep of server and application health and performance.
- Respond swiftly and effectively to technical problems reported by end users by diagnosing root causes and implementing corrective measures.
- Work closely with the development team to prioritize and resolve incidents, aiming to minimize operational disruptions.
- Participate in an on-call rotation schedule to support resolution of critical issues promptly.
- Proactively analyze system alerts and logs to detect potential issues and execute preventive actions.
- Conduct routine system assessments, apply updates and patches to maintain security and stability of applications.
- Liaise with internal or external vendors or partners as needed to resolve issues concerning dependent data feeds.
- Maintain detailed documentation of incident reports, troubleshooting efforts, and final resolutions for record-keeping and future reference.
- Communicate clearly and timely with stakeholders and agents regarding ongoing incidents and their resolutions.
- Drive continuous improvement in support processes by identifying repetitive issues and recommending enhancements.
Required Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related disciplines, or equivalent practical experience.
- Over four years of hands-on experience with AWS Cloud technologies including S3, EC2, Transfer Family, and Secret Manager, along with on-premise environments like Windows and Red Hat Linux.
- Solid background in technical or production support across various environments.
- Understanding of IoT concepts and data stream management with ability to troubleshoot network connectivity issues using tools such as TCP DUMP and flow analysis.
