Job description
Role Overview
Innovatas is expanding its engineering function and is seeking an AV Engineer with strong video systems design experience. The position is based in Charlotte and focuses on creating audio, video, and lighting solutions for client projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop AV system designs and drawings that meet or exceed client needs while aligning with internal quality standards.
- Contribute to improving design standards, drawings, and engineering workflows.
- Create audio-visual layouts using Revit and Vectorworks.
- Coordinate system designs with architects, contractors, and clients.
- Plan complete video systems end to end, including detailed connectivity between all devices and components.
- Build and maintain CAD libraries and process improvements to increase drawing speed and accuracy.
Candidate Profile
- A degree in engineering or a comparable background through relevant experience is preferred.
- Hands-on live production experience is expected.
- At least 2 years of production or integration work involving broadcast and cinematic live video systems.
- The ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
- Someone who is easy to work with, confident, and aligned with the company’s mission, vision, and culture.
- A strong interest in current video equipment and industry trends.
- Strong work ethic and a proactive approach to work.
