Job summary
This position is centered on keeping rental vehicles clean, sanitized, inspected, and ready for customers. The work supports high standards of cleanliness and safety across the fleet.
Key responsibilities
The role involves immediate hiring and includes vehicle preparation, interior and exterior cleaning, and general site upkeep. It also includes checking vehicle condition and helping customers when needed.
- Clean, sanitize, vacuum, and prepare vehicle interiors using standard industry procedures
- Wash, clean, and dry vehicle exteriors, including cars, vans, and trucks
- Inspect fuel level, warning lights, windshield condition, registration, and customer belongings; clear customer data from vehicle systems and place valuables in Lost & Found
- Check fluid levels, tires, tread depth, and any exterior damage, then add fluids as needed
- Refuel and stage vehicles for rental use
- Identify safety issues, report dashboard warnings or damage, and remove vehicles from processing when required
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free from unsafe or hazardous conditions
- Use equipment such as carpet shampoo machines and air purifiers to remove stains, pet hair, and odors
- Support customers when needed and may drive them to and from branch locations
- Help maintain the overall appearance of the site, including interior and exterior branch areas
- Handle routine cleaning tasks such as wiping desks and counters, cleaning phones, floors and bathrooms, emptying trash, sweeping the lot, and other branch cleanliness duties
- Work on self-improvement through feedback, training, skill building, and goal setting
- Maintain dependable attendance and punctuality
- Carry out other job-related tasks assigned by management
Qualifications
- Minimum age requirement: 18 years
- Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s licence required
- Driving record must show no more than 2 moving violations and/or at-fault accidents in the last 3 years
- No drug- or alcohol-related conviction on the driving record within the past 5 years
- Must already be legally authorized to work in Canada without employer sponsorship now or in the future
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds when assisting customers
- Availability required for Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, except for religious observances
