The position involves building scalable automation systems with tools such as Zapier, Make (Integromat), Python scripting, and custom API connectors.
You will be responsible for creating dependable workflows that link SaaS products, CRMs, databases, and external APIs. The role combines hands-on technical work with strategic thinking, requiring strong analysis, coding ability, systems integration knowledge, and clear communication to ensure automation efforts support business goals.
Automation design and development

- Review manual business processes, spot automation opportunities, and design solutions that remove repetition and improve scale.
- Develop and support custom integrations across CRMs, marketing tools, databases, and SaaS platforms such as HubSpot, Airtable, Slack, Google Sheets, and LinkedIn.
- Create reusable modules, scripts, and functions that can be deployed quickly across projects.
- Set up triggers, webhooks, and fault-handling logic to keep workflows reliable.
Scripting and advanced integrations
- Write Python scripts for automation needs that standard tools cannot handle on their own.
- Work with APIs, JSON, XML, OAuth2, and webhooks to connect complex systems smoothly.
- Implement validation, transformation, and synchronization of data across multiple applications.
- Manage custom authentication flows and token refresh mechanisms for secure long-running API connections.
- Keep documentation updated for custom endpoints, scripts, and automation logic.
System optimization and maintenance
- Monitor automation systems continuously to maintain uptime, scalability, and performance.
- Investigate and fix issues such as failed tasks, rate limits, API deprecations, and version updates.
- Put logging, reporting, and alerting in place for early issue detection and quick resolution.
- Maintain a well-organized catalog of automations grouped by function, client, and dependency.
- Review and refine automation setups to improve efficiency, cost control, and long-term maintainability.
Collaboration and consultation
- Partner with Project Managers, Business Analysts, and Developers to understand automation needs and turn them into working solutions.
- Advise clients and internal stakeholders on how automation can streamline day-to-day operations.
- Document workflows and integrations so they can be reproduced and understood across teams.
- Train non-technical colleagues on automation tools, dashboards, and workflow management.
- Coordinate with API providers and SaaS vendors when integration support or enhancements are needed.
Innovation and continuous improvement
- Explore new automation platforms, AI-enabled workflow engines, and low-code/no-code tools.
- Assess and introduce AI-based automation using platforms such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google Vertex AI where appropriate.
- Create proof-of-concepts for new automation ideas and present recommendations to leadership.
- Define automation best practices, governance guidelines, and security standards.
- Keep improving automation systems to match business growth and changing technical ecosystems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- At least 7 years of experience in automation development, systems integration, and API-driven workflows.
- Certification or demonstrated expertise in Zapier, Make (Integromat), or Python automation frameworks is preferred.
- Strong command of Python, including libraries such as requests, pandas, and json.
- Deep hands-on experience with Zapier, Make (Integromat), n8n, or similar automation tools.
- Advanced knowledge of RESTful APIs, webhooks, OAuth2, JSON, and data mapping.
- Familiarity with databases and synchronization across systems such as SQL, Airtable, Firebase, and MongoDB.
- Ability to read process maps and SOPs and convert them into technical automation workflows.
- Solid debugging, testing, and documentation habits.
- Good understanding of error handling, rate limiting, and API throttling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, with the capacity to explain complex technical ideas to non-technical audiences.
- Experience using Git or a similar version control system.
- Knowledge of cloud services such as AWS Lambda or Google Cloud Functions is an added advantage.
Perks and highlights
- Opportunity to work on advanced automation and integration projects across multiple industries.
- Chance to build scalable, intelligent systems that create measurable value for global clients.
- Work alongside experienced developers, analysts, and technology strategists.
- Possibility to lead automation innovation and mentor junior developers.
- Competitive pay with a culture centered on technical excellence and experimentation.
