Job description
Role overview
This position sits within the Strategy & Corporate Finance practice in New York. The role is designed for someone who enjoys tackling demanding problems in a fast-moving, high-expectation environment and who wants exposure to deep client work, mentorship, and accelerated professional development.
What you can expect
You will be part of a culture that emphasizes continuous learning, coaching, and apprenticeship. Feedback is intended to be practical and growth-oriented, and you will be encouraged to use it to sharpen your judgment and broaden your capabilities. Your ideas will be expected to contribute meaningfully from the start, with an emphasis on sound ethics and strong professional integrity. You will also work alongside colleagues from a wide range of backgrounds across a global network, and the organization offers a competitive compensation structure tied to location, experience, and skills, along with a broad benefits package for overall well-being.
Key responsibilities
You will work on client teams of 3 to 5 consultants and contribute across the full engagement lifecycle. This includes collecting and analyzing data, developing and testing hypotheses, and turning findings into clear recommendations for client leadership. The practice advises on high-level strategic and financial matters such as corporate strategy, restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, alliances, due diligence, value-based management, and IPO-related strategy. You will help clients make informed decisions in complex, high-stakes situations by applying strategic and financial analysis.
The role also calls for structured problem solving and the ability to build analytical frameworks that combine qualitative and quantitative thinking. You will be expected to support financial benchmarking, business modeling, transaction analysis, and valuation work, while helping clients navigate the full M&A process. In addition, you may own major workstreams such as commercial due diligence or post-merger integration, coach junior team members, contribute to client capability building, and help produce internal intellectual property, proposals, and white papers.
Qualifications
Applicants should hold an undergraduate or master’s degree and have at least 4 years of experience after completing the undergraduate degree. A minimum of 2 years of experience in strategy, corporate finance, M&A, or due diligence is required, ideally gained in consulting, investment banking, accounting, or a large corporation. Backgrounds in corporate development, strategic finance, or merger integration are preferred.
Strong capability in financial statement analysis, financial modeling, and risk assessment is expected, along with solid analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills. The position also requires intellectual curiosity, creative thinking, adaptability, and comfort working collaboratively in flexible settings. Candidates should demonstrate leadership in academic, professional, or extracurricular contexts, show empathy, and communicate complex ideas clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
Additional expectations
The role values a strong sense of social responsibility and a genuine desire to create meaningful impact for clients and communities. Success in this position depends on clear communication, sound judgment, and the ability to translate complex analysis into practical actions.
